Ah yes…the dreaded blog. Read: blaaaahhg. I have to admit that I don’t spend much time reading these except for a few choice friends of mine who have a penchant for creativity and humor that always comes through in their writing.
That being said, every time I log onto my reverbnation site (http://www.reverbnation.com/jasonlmusic), the control panel reminds me that my profile is not yet 100% complete as I have not yet started a blog. Well…they finally win. And this is entry #1. And you get to read entry #1. And that, along with $2.50, will buy you a cup of coffee. But not a real nice one. Like a big Starbucks one with lots of caramel and extras. Just an average one. To get you to work in the morning. On the subway. With people whom you’d rather not rub elbows with at 7am.
It’s worth noting that I have a number of shows coming up in the next few months. Many of them are out of town. I’m going to try and post interesting and fun blog entries about those gigs and experiences in case you might want to tune in and see what kind of antics a grown (but not grown-up) man can get himself into with a rental car and a dream. Or is it a dream and a rental car? It’s probably a rental car and a map. Or a GPS. I happen to have a GPS. It’s awesome and we’re friends.
So keep in touch and, if you think there might be anything here worth reading, tune in again next time…same bat time, etc.

I’ve been feeling the spark to post a recording of a different song every day and hope you like this one. It’s another live acoustic guitar/piano/vocal recording of me and my good buddy, Matt Kanelos, performing “What Your Girlfriend Don’t Know,” another song from my upcoming new album. Enjoy! :)
This was a fun recording to make. This is me and my good buddy, Matt Kanelos (piano player from my “Sweet Sacrifice” video and AWESOME musician), performing a live version of Death Cab for Cutie’s “Title and Registration” at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT. Take a listen and, if you like it, pass it on to your friends and fellow music listeners and tell them to check it out. :)
